Your business is on several social media networks and you find it difficult to remember to post to each one. And you struggle with what to post.
It does get easier to find content to post, especially when you’ve done it for a while.
To create a social media calendar, you need to create enough content for a few weeks or more. We recommend using a scheduling tool such as Buffer or Hootsuite to create your social media calendar and schedule your content to all your social media networks.
These scheduling tools also have helpful analytics of their own.
When creating your social media calendar, it’s important to be consistent with the days and times you post on each network.
CoSchedule researched the optimal number of times per day that you should be posting to certain social media networks. Ideally, to get the best engagement, you should be posting:
Facebook: 1-2 posts per day
Instagram: 1-2 posts per day
Twitter: 15 Tweets per day
LinkedIn: 1 post per day
Pinterest: 11 pins per day
Don’t worry if you can’t meet the suggested number of posts per day. It’s best to post quality content and be consistent in your scheduling.
Increase the number of posts when you can, but it’s not the end of the world if you only post once a week on LinkedIn or twice a week on Facebook!
