Your business knows that marketing using social media is a great place to build your brand presence. But the social media playing field is crowded. How do you make your content stand out and get noticed?

Here are 3 ways to make your social media content more engaging.

Make your content visually appealing

Most people only read online content (79% according to Nielsen Norman Group) by scanning the page. Only 16% of people read the post word-for-word.

If you want your social media content to be read and shared, make it easy for people to scan. You can guide your readers through your content by using subheadings, short paragraphs, and bullet points.

Having white space where your reader’s eyes can rest is also helpful. Remember, you posts or blogs should give your readers value. You shouldn’t give them all the information that you know because then what will they hire you for?

Use images

An image associated with your blog or post should help you convey your story. Images capture your readers’ attention.

A blog with an image once every 75-100 words can get double the number of social shares than blogs with fewer images.

Encourage sharing

To spread the word about your brand, make sure your content is easily sharable. Your blog and every page of your website should have social media buttons so your readers can easily share your content.
